Philip Zhang, partner of the New York Office of Zhong Lun Law Firm, was recently appointed as the Co-Chair of the China Committee of American Bar Association (ABA). Concurrently, he was also appointed as the Vice Chair of the ABA International M&A and Joint Venture Committee.
The ABA is the largest voluntary bar association of lawyers in the U.S., which is dedicated to "the advancement of the science of jurisprudence, the promotion of the administration of justice and a uniformity of legislation throughout the country”. The China Committee supports ABA members with interest in China-related legal matters. The China Committee’s work in the U.S. and China includes review, analysis, commentary and information-sharing on law, legal practice and related policy, as well as social and business networking events.
Philip Zhang’s appointment as the Co-Chair of the ABA China Committee is another milestone in Zhong Lun’s international strategy to build a global brand and to become one of the premier law firms in the world.
